Dang it, I’m a tea snob.
Bad news, I’m a tea snob and it’s showing.
Proof, such that eric=teasnob:
1. I bring my own tea with my in the car, and have brewed it at friends houses.
2. I bring my own tea equippage (didn’t make that up, that’s what they [I] call it) with me as well.
3. Though I can’t necessarily taste the difference *yet*, I find the idea of drinking tea brewed by tea bag to be craziness.
4. I bought a book called, The Tea Companion: A Connoisseur’s Guide
5. I’ve read nearly all of said book.
That’s about it for now. You’ll know the snobbery is in complete full effect when I start saying stuff like, “this tea’s liquor [that's what they call it] has a bright, brass color to it” and “oh darling, would you be as kind as to pass the crumpets.” sigh.
you need to see Snakes on a Plane again to get you back to reality …
peace.
[...] Monday: The beginning of the tea snobbery. Well, at least the beginning of the describing of it. [...]
A two part question- do you use bottled water to brew your tea? If so, what brand?
1. No, but we use water filtered thru one of those PUR pitchers.
In the book I got about tea, it did make a strong point about the taste of your tea is dependent on the taste of your water, may try some bottled.
Any suggestions on a type?
I make my tea with tap water from public bathrooms and tea bags, so I’m not the person to ask. I’ve got three cases of bottled Croatian mineral water, if you want to experiment, though.
