5:08 pm: sound like a good time for road rage to me!

Ugh. Driving wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for all those other people. Each day, I make the trek home from work, and am faced with the same situation:

rr.jpg

As you can see, this represents a 3 lane highway that merges down into a 2. The colored rectangles represent cars and trucks. Up at the top, you see that dark grey car, which represents my Camry.

In this image, we see that it is clearly printed that this 3 lane highway becomes a 2 lane highway, and that drivers in the right lane need to be aware of this imminent lose of lanage. But what do people do? Knowing it will end further up and there’s no traffic in it, they jump in to it, and then expect to jump back in at the last second, making everyone in between’s drive longer and theres abit quicker.

When this happens (and it happens every single day), I get RAWR. When one of these drive-tards (new word, trying it out) tries to merge back in in front of me… I have one goal: I basically want to have my front license plate inside the tailpipe of the car in front of me.

I shouldn’t be upset with these people though. And not for the reason you think. I shouldn’t be upset with them because its the misplaced generosity of the people that happily let them merge back in at the last second that I should be cranky about. I mean, if people didn’t let them back over, it’d be too much of a hassle to pull this stunt off, and it wouldn’t be a problem. If I had my way, when people try and do this, they would have to wait until every car they tried to pass had gone by before merging back in. Booya.

first of all, i agree, amazing graphic.

second of all, there’s another way to solve it - a fake (or i guess real would work) glock. just slyly roll down your window and bring it up to eye-level. i bet they back off.

traffic = teh sux. Especially people who do this. It usually evokes harsh responses of large amounts of cursing in spanish from my roomate on his days to drive. I usually just meh it.
