Recap: July 22nd - 28th.
My throat hurts. I think I must have slept with my dang mouth wide open. I don’t recommend it:
What we giggled at: Not real big on the funny posts this week. I guess The Fast and the Furious: Kansas City Drift is the close as I’ll get to funny.
What we thought aobut: Personal finance. I made the dive into the personal finance blog world this week, reading a couple great sites that cover such topics. I’ve already learned a whole lot, and am learning more about such things. I highly recommend checking out my first post, and especially the two blogs linked to it. Personal Finance Whatnots.
FL: Bless Our Pets.com - They make tags and whatnot that ask for divine protection for canine, feline, bovine, ursine, and other assorted -ine type pet friends. Now, I could probably do a whole post on this, but I have to just point out my favorite of the tags on their site:

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, this particular product calls on St. Francis of Assisi to protect your furry friend. Why St. Francis, you might ask? Well, according to the blessed Wikipedia, one of the things St. Francis is the patron saint of is animals. Give me a break.
Though I shouldn’t complain, the delicious irony in this is that the majority of St. Francis’ life was spent serving the world around him with 0 or next to 0 possessions, proclaiming the Word of God. How tragic that his name is now plastered on the paramount example of how we could waste our money on worthless things. Maybe it’s just God being funny. Mission accomplished, God.
