Dood… Eric is easy.
This may be a fairly clear to you guyses, but I’ve noticed that everyone has a humor threshhold. That is to say, there is a minimum level of funniness a joke/movie/whatev must be before a given person will laugh.
Let’s review the various levels, as I see it:
Level 1 – Eric – That’s right, meee! Basically, everything is funny, often to the detriment of a serious or focused moment. Put another way, I find the laughter in things that aren’t usually supposed to be funny, plus all the stuff that usually is. I’m not saying I laugh at everything, but generally, I laugh a whole lot.
Level 2- Adam, d10 – Barely above a level 1, is a level 2 sense of humor, much like the good Mr. Adam Walker and d10 have. You see, they still laugh at a whole lot of stuff, but at least hav the common sense to know when to hold their tongues (they typically hold their own tongue. I’m not sure of a single instance where they have held the other’s tongue. That would be wierd). They make good friends because they will still laugh at most of what I say that’s supposed to be funny, and will at least give me nervous laughter and shake their head back and forth when what I say something that’s too out there to laugh at.
Level 3 – Brad and Heather – If you can regularly make these people laugh, you have what they call “mad skillz.” Put another way, if you can make them laugh, you know you’re actually funny. These are the people in your life who say things like, “I would laugh if it was funny.” Ouch. Given my track record with making Heather laugh, it would seem that about 15% of my jokes are actually funny, if that.
As for Brad, I often send him the funny link ahead of schedule so he can tell me if its actually funny or not (side note: alot of times the funny link isn’t necessarily supposed to be funny per se, more just interesting). He also rates my posts on a 1 to 10 scale, which I think is linked to whether he laughs out loud.
That’s all folks. Just as a personal note, I kinda feel sorry for the Level 3′s of the world. Laughter is good for you, and apparently it makes a good form of medicine. I know I feel better when I laugh.

hmmm……….yeah, now see, you probably laughed at that funny link. I thought it was interesting, and even smiled a little, but it was by no means laugh out loud funny. For me, it’s got to be worth laughing over. I’m not going to expend so much energy when something is underserving. Besides, it’s harder to laugh when you are down in the dumps – which is where I was during the months of Aug – May.
we used to do that with cheetos, but we never sent them anywhere
[...] Humor- Surprisingly funny in a “stupid humor” fashion. Definitely good for level one and two laughers. Level threes would not have a good time. If you didn’t laugh at Napoleon Dynamite, there is no way you’ll laugh at this movie. [...]
