Malibu pix!!1
Well, Abbas finally sent us the pictures from Malibu. We didn’t take very many, but meh, here they are nevertheless. All images will link to larger versions of themselves.
Anyway, here we gooo………
First, we went to see Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Rodeo Dr.
We spent some time walking on Rodeo, and we saw this, Abbas had a small panic attack and just HAD to take a picture:
Note that this car, a Mercedes SLR McLaren, is about $450,000. I haven’t put all the pieces together, but based on an article we read in the Malibu newspaper the day after we saw this car, and this CNN article, apparently this car was the subject of much weeping and gnashing of teeth. As far as I can tell, this car in the pic is the one referred to in that CNN article.
Here’s a picture of Heather and I. Yes, I know we’re really little relative to the rest of the picture, but as I recall the point was to get the Versace store visible in the background.
After Rodeo, we went to Hollywood. On the main area in Hollywood, there’s all manner of street performers, singers, musicians, break dancers, etc, etc. I was thoroughly entertained by this guy:
Basically, he paints his skin gold, then acts like a robot, its not exactly the dance called the robot, but its good stuff to watch. I’m sure he’s pullin in plenty of bank.
Here’s Abbas, looking sexy as ever. He’s about as metro as you can get:
Heather, looking happy. Oh em gee, get that on film!!!!!11
It occurs to me I didn’t take any pictures of the beach. Sorry about being so lame in that regard.
FL: Stationery is bad. - meh, its okay, the highlight is the poor acting at the very very end in the back left corner of the video.

Nice man, Jess and I were in Cali about 8 months ago and we walked down Rodeo Dr. too. It was cool, they had undershirts worth more than my car…I’m pretty sure. I almost bought something, but then wiping out my life savings for a pair of jeans didn’t seem like a good idea…
yeah, so that’s me when I have no stress what-so-ever, and I am actually happy. I do like to smile! I miss it…..
so, this week at school (and the last 2) have been full of standardized testing. I keep hearing the phrase, “smile, it makes you feel better because (whatever: releasing certain chemicals in your brain, the muscles that are used make you relax, etc.).” Anyway, whatever the reason, I don’t care. The problem is that I have been trying this over and over again, and I don’t feel the slightest bit better/happier/less stressed/more confident in my ability to get through the day. And I am POSITIVE my smile doesn’t look anywhere near as natural as the one pictured above.
……..so when are we going back?
