Kind of scatterbrained today…
… what an unusual way for me to be. as if.
Anyway, saw The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe last night, and it roxed me. Incredible artistic display of Christ’s sacrifice, despite all the critics whining that it didn’t fully capture the book’s essence or feeling (when has a movie ever done this to a book? has it ever happened once? why do they even expect it.) What’s even more amazing is that this portrayal occurs despite the movie being a Hollywood blockbuster, and produced/distributed/whatever by Disney.
I highly recommend it.
Today’s funny link: communication course #1 - I highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve the tone and influence of their emails - :)
so, who said it wasn’t accurate to the story? not only do I think it followed the story very closely and very well, I might add, but the author’s son himself said that the movie was an accurate portrayal of what happens in the book. just wondering.
yeah, i thought it was good. not as aesthetically pleasing as l.o.t.r. (some of the cgi stuff was weak) but a lot easier to follow and the plot and allusions to the bible were pretty overt despite all the gossip about removing the christian elements (i’d heard they were going to republish the books, removing the christian themes, but i’m not sure how exactly they would go about doing that). i don’t know what this means, but: :)-.,@#$%^&*(!;”=+_`~ …my keyboard doesn’t have one of those straight up and down thingies.
oh, i almost forgot []{}|/ i do have a vertical thingy!
